"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another."
Proverbs 27:17 (ESV)
Full disclosure: my sister gave me the idea for this. I need to listen to her better. Cause it was a great idea.
Essentially, the idea for this one was to visually represent the proverb through some sort of illustration. In this case, I decided to just wing it and draw two different styles of sword running their edges across each other. And that seems rather appropriate, actually, as that is often how Christian fellowship works.
If everyone had the same exact blade temper and finish, so to speak, discipleship would be...difficult. But because each differs in personality and experience, those in the body of Christ around us can point out flaws in our own thinking or guide us through areas we have little experience navigating. Like in sword training, one needs to practice with multiple types of blade to be prepared for an actual battle. The more often we allow our brothers and sisters in Christ to cross their steel with ours in friendly training, the readier we will be to encounter the unexpected.
Older believers, especially, have often learned the enemy's signature moves; and they know good counters.
Stay. Sharp.
